Mirko Ettore D’Agostino is an Italian scholar, sound artist, music producer, drummer and mastering engineer.
He studied Electronic Music Composition and Digital Audio-visual Composition at Conservatorio “Licinio Refice” in Frosinone for his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, and Sonic Arts at Istanbul Technical University’s Centre for Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM) for his PhD.
His artistic output includes acousmatic and experimental electronic music, movie soundtracks, multimedia works and sound design for theatre and TV. His works have been presented and performed in national and international festivals and conferences including the Toronto International Electroacoustic Symposium, Forum Wallis Ars Electronica, and Muestra Internacional de Música Electroacústica y Video Mapping.
Since 2012 he works as in-house producer and senior mastering at Babajim Istanbul Studios & Mastering, where he collaborated with some of Turkey's best known artists (Sıla, Harun Tekin, Zuhal Olcay, Gece, Mor ve Ötesi), as well as several international clients and record labels like Sony Music and Pasaj.
He is a co-author of Laboratorio di Tecnologie Musicali - Vol. I and Laboratorio di Tecnologie Musicali – Vol. II, a series of books specifically designed for music technology courses in music schools, high schools and conservatories.
