Prior to the IAB, Raymond was teaching at a range of performing arts schools around London for 8 years, working with young people (including Matilda and Thriller Live cast members) to full-time students in professional training, as well as current West End performers. After studying Music at the University of Strathclyde, he furthered his training at Bird College graduating with a first class honours degree in Dance and Theatre Performance. He has completed a post-graduate programme designed for teachers of theatre and performance from Rose Bruford College, resulting in a Fellowship to the Higher Education Academy. Most recently he graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a Masters degree in Learning and Teaching in the Arts, where his research was centred on musical expression for singing actors.

As a performer his credits have ranged from being a Performance Captain on the XX Commonwealth Games, Glasgow 2014 Closing Ceremony, to backing vocals for 2014 X-Factor winner Ben Haenow live on ITV’s Text Santa, to a national tour of Australia in Sasha Regan’s All-Male Pirates of Penzance, which closed Cate Blanchett’s final season as Artistic Director of Sydney Theatre Company.
