If you’re looking for an unforgettable semester abroad, the IAB is the place for you.
Not only will you have access to our world-class performing arts programmes, but you’ll have the opportunity to study in the Mediterranean coastal town of Sitges while living with international students from over 60 different nationalities.
You will be joining the IAB students in the second year of the BA (Hons) programme (Level 5) for the full semester, taking part in practical classes, theory classes and performance work.
The IAB is not part of the Erasmus+ programme.

LJMU Credits (CPD)
During your semester abroad you will enrolled as a student with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU, our UK validating university). Upon successful completion of the programme you will be awarded a Certificate of Professional Development (CPD) – 60 UK credits.
You can ask your home university to recognise these credits.

Tuition Fees are payable for the IAB Semester Study Abroad programme. Accommodation fees are not included in the Tuition Fees.

Acting
Perform two contrasting speeches or extracts from speeches, each to be no more than one minute in length. One piece should be classical/heightened text and the second should be contemporary text. Please state the name of the play and the character you are playing before each piece.
Musical Theatre
Perform two contrasting songs from two different musicals and a jazz sequence each of no more than one minute in length
Frequently asked questions
To join our Semester Abroad you are expected to be studying, or have studied, at a university or other organisation delivering a higher education programme equivalent to the first year of study on a UK degree.
CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development and this is a recognised academic award in the UK .
Each CPD programme is divided into four modules of study and through your classes, rehearsals and performance work you are provided with the knowledge and technical training to take each of the assessments within a module.
No we don’t offer scholarships for our Study Semester Abroad programmes.
