Jofre comes from Barcelona, where he gained a BA (Hons) in Physical Theatre at the Spanish Institut del Teatre. He then moved to London and gained a BA (Hons) in actor musicianship at Rose Bruford College where he further developed his skills with the piano and the double bass. Since then Jofre has worked pretty consistently both in London and in Barcelona. In London he has had quite an array of work, from King Pactolus in Terry Jones’ Nicobobinus, Valentin in the DumbWise UK tour of Faust, or Flashy West, in the musical he composed The Man who Stole the Circus, to a lot of immersive theatre, playing Dr. Jaffe in Brazil or The conductor in The Red Shoes with Secret Cinema, The Walrus in Alice Through The Looking Glass (5 Hertford Street), or William in In The Beginning Was The End, a site specific production at Somerset House for Dreamthinkspeak. He’s done a world tour of Gulliver’s Travels for TNT and played an Ogre in Sleeping Beauty for the Birmingham Rep. He’s also worked regularly as an MD, for example in Seussical for WAC Arts, or for the Derby Live production of The Wind In The Willows.
