CHASE

Reimagined excerpt from the production ELSEWHERE, - presented by 92NY Women Move the World season and premiered by YYDC in New York City, this fast paced and dynamic section packed with multilayered, diverse and complex movement vocabulary. The excerpt features movement elements rooted in contemporary interpretation as well as Chinese classical dance, Mongolian, Tibetan dance elements and aesthetic influences from South East Asia.

PARADISE LOST

Home - A paradise for community connection and culture. Outsiders - The bringing in of an external force changing the way of this community for better or for worse. Collision - Merging and conflict. Change - The communities begin to share experiences and therefore shape new values but on the flip side some values may get lost. How does society honor our home and others homes?

JOY! IS THE MOST SERIOUS THING IN LIFE

Created in collaboration with the dancers of IAB, this piece is a reminder of the importance of joy. It reflects on how essential joy is within our field, and how, through training and discipline, we can sometimes lose touch with the reason we started dancing in the first place: the simple joy of moving, connecting with one another, and sharing that with an audience. I see this work not only as an expression of that idea, but also as a practice of joy in itself.

TIERRA Y CARNE

At its core, the work explores the body in its raw human totality. Physicality, emotion, instinct, and rhythm are approached as inseparable forces, allowing the dancers to move beyond form into states of sensation and embodied presence. Through repetition and rhythmic accumulation, the performers enter a physical landscape where intensity builds, dissolves, and reforms. Rooted in the idea of the body as both earth and flesh, the choreography invites the dancers to explore a territory where vulnerability and strength coexist, where movement becomes both ritual and impulse. Accompanied by an original composition by Adrien Casalis (composer for Sita Ostheimer Company), the work unfolds within a dense and atmospheric soundscape that supports the dancers’ journey through repetition, transformation, and raw physical expression.
