Tomoka Osada is a contemporary dancer from Japan whose work is characterized by poetic movement qualities and a strong sense of rhythm developed through over a decade of jazz dance training. Her practice combines physical precision with emotional depth, moving fluidly between structured choreography and improvisation with musicality and presence.
Tomoka will receive her BA in Contemporary Dance from the Institute of the Arts Barcelona (2023–2026), following completion of the Contemporary Dance Foundation Programme at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, U.K. (2022–2023). She also holds a BA in Movement Science, Dance Major, from Japan Women’s College of Physical Education (2018–2022).
From 2020 to 2022, she was a member of La Danse Compagnie Kaleidoscope in Tokyo, performing works choreographed by Kazuyuki Futami. She has collaborated with artists including Matthew William Robinson, Glenda Gheller, Luca Signoretti, VIM VIGOR, Paloma Muñoz, Guy Shomroni, Anabel Barotte, Jorge Crecis, Albert Garrell, Rina Mizumura, and Takeshi Ohashi.
Her performance experience includes presenting her own works Nosotras at Dansa Sitges (2024) and Vida at the CreArt Festival (2025). In 2025, she performed a duet with Inês Vital at the Sitges Film Festival, and in 2026 she performs Double Folk by Glenda Gheller as part of Dansa Metropolitana in Barcelona.
