Lena Sakalla is a multicultural actress, voice coach, director, and writer with international training and over seven years of teaching experience. Originally from Florida, she holds a BFA in Musical Theatre and a BA in Arts Administration, graduating summa cum laude from the University of West Florida. She furthered her training in Meisner and Arthur Lessac technique with James Price at The Acting Studio in New York and earned her Grado Superior en Técnicas de Actuación Teatral at Escola d’Arts Escèniques de Manresa in Spain, with additional studies in Lecoq, Clown, and Voice.

 

As an educator, Lena has taught voice and speech at the Hippodrome Regional Theatre (Florida), B Street Theatre (California), and in her online studio for actors and business professionals around the world. She is the creator of Vocal Evolution and The Voice Gym™, and currently serves as Head of Studies at Frank Stein Studio in Barcelona. Her teaching integrates approaches from Arthur Lessac, Laban, and Patsy Rodenburg, helping artists uncover their authentic voice, command presence, and perform with confidence.

 

Some of theatre credits include Silent Sky, The Tempest, Into the Breeches, and The Unveiling. On screen, she was recently in the feature film Art e Fact alongside Andrea Tivadar and in various short films including Self-Portrait and Con Art. She also directed, translated, and performed in La Promesa de La Revolució (The Revolution’s Promise), a play created by Palestine’s The Freedom Theatre.
