Hi! My name is Maria Cunha and I’m Portuguese. I love jazz, playing piano and picking up new instruments whenever I get the chance. I’m always looking for new challenges and adventures, which is probably why I’m currently obsessed with scuba diving.. obviously has everything to do with musical theatre.
Studying at the IAB has given me so many lessons that I’ll carry for life. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone, taught me discipline and helped me grow not just as a performer but as a person.
More than that it has helped me understand how I want to use my instrument. I want to use my voice to help others feel seen and understood, and inspire them the way music keeps inspiring me to be braver and believe in myself.
