Jonny Floyd

Jonathan was born and raised in South Wales and he trained with the National Youth Theatre of Wales and at the Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance. As an actor his stage credits include the role of Judd in John Godber’s BOUNCERS (Mumbai, Dubai and Middle East Tour), Michel in DJ Britton’s WAVES IN THE CHATROOM (Sherman Cymru), Jesus in Tom Walker’s (of ‘Jonathan Pie’ fame) RHONA’S PANTRY (Canal Cafe Theatre / Landor) and as the juvenile lead in Gary Owen’s multi award winning play GHOST CITY (Sgript Cymru) which toured the UK and also ran at the 59E59 Theater in New York. His television appearances include both leading and guest roles in DREAM TEAM (Sky One), HOLBY CITY (BBC), DOCTORS (BBC), COWBOIS AC INJANS (S4C), as a regular in the groundbreaking Welsh language drama CAERDYDD (also for S4C) and as Eddie Powell in the popular BBC mini-series HEARTS OF GOLD directed by Richard Laxton. He has also appeared in a number of commercials, voice-overs and dozens of Radio Dramas (BBC Afternoon Plays). Jonathan spent several years teaching in Africa before returning to the UK to take up a post as a Lecturer in Acting at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and as Senior Lecturer in Acting at the London Studio Centre.
