Versatility in styles is key for any commercial dancer
You will explore a wide variety of styles in the commercial dance world. Core technical classes (ballet and jazz) will build a strong foundation, while Commercial Dance classes will give you the different skillsets the industry expects of you as a performer.
The Commercial Dance Styles module explores a number of styles:
Jazz dance is a core technique on the course. Elements of established jazz techniques such as Matt Mattox and Luigi are studied alongside current commercial jazz choreography.
Hip-Hop and funk styles are fundamental components of commercial dance. Dance styles such as locking, house, popping and new style Hip Hop choreography are key components of the programme.
Vogue femme and Waacking have become an integral part of the commercial dance industry and are also featured within the commercial dance module.
