USA - BA (Hons) Dance - Class of 2017
Quron Clarks attended Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA 2010-2014), the top school for performing and visual arts in California and one of the top schools in the country. While at LACHSA Clarks trained in contemporary and classical ballet, modern, contemporary, hip hop, and composition. Through the school he performed for WNBA Sparks, The Voice, and The Emmy’s. He also had the chance to perform Jiri Kylian’s Symphony of psalms staged by Fiona Lummis at the Nederland Dans Theatre lecture demonstration. He earned his High School Diploma in June of 2014.
Outside of LACHSA, Clarks trained with Lula Washington Dance Theatre in the youth dance ensemble on scholarship. With the ensemble he performed for Nike, the arrival of the Space Shuttle Endeavour, and the U.S Military.
Clarks also attended Joffrey Ballet New York summer intensive and was offered a full scholarship for the year round program.
During his time at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona he had the opportunity to perform with Martz Contemporary Dance Company, La Compinya, R.I.Q Contemporary and Ballet Dance Company, Redken Symposium with Bonnie Story, Sitges Carnaval Parade, Premios Zapping Awards and World Dance Movement. He graduated with a first degree in June 2017.
After spending 3 wonderful years in Barcelona at the Institute, Quron Clarks has returned to the states to seek work.
Quron has been offer a contract with Dallas Black Dance Theatre and is currently dancing with Lula Washington Dance Theatre, where he will continue his career and development as a dancer. After this, Quron is excited to be joining the performance team on the Royal Caribbean Cruise lines.
