Quality Assured Teaching
All IAB courses share the same priority - giving you the tuition, support and facilities you need to achieve excellence in your field.
We do this by scheduling high levels of teaching time for you, making sure you have a wealth of opportunities for learning by doing, focusing on helping you to build your conceptual skills, and guiding you towards your own professional, entrepreneurial performance ethic.
It is a teaching philosophy that has earned IAB international recognition as a high quality centre for studying the performing arts to professional levels.
You will be trained and taught with intensity. Depending on the particular demands of your discipline and your course’s performance schedule, you will experience up to 25 hours a week of taught time in classes and rehearsal. You can expect regular assessment and strong, detailed feedback.
That level of engagement, the nature of performance work, and the IAB’s interdisciplinary approach to performance study will instil in you a strong understanding of collaboration and team working. You will notice your communication skills maturing quickly!
To gain the experience and resilience which will be vital to your future career, you will have regular opportunities to perform in public, through frequent shows and performances both on and off campus.
And finally, as an international institution with its courses taught in English, we understand that not all of you will arrive at IAB with the same level of fluency of language. We will support you by providing formal opportunities to develop your English skills.
The IAB is an independent and international higher education institution, but its quality and standards are validated and approved by the UK’s university system.
It means that our degrees are recognised and accepted throughout the world as the equivalent of a degree from a British university.
We adhere to the Quality Assurance processes set out by the UK government. Our standards are officially monitored through our partner university in the UK, Liverpool John Moores.
They make regular visits to IAB to confirm that the quality of teaching, academic standards, student care and leadership and management are high, fit for purpose, and conform to British standards.
