The Institute of the Arts Barcelona is an international leader in performing arts education and training.
The Institute of the Arts Barcelona (IAB) welcomes students from over 40 countries to our intensive, conservatory style, performing arts programs at our state-of-the-art campus in Spain. Our Foundation, BA and Masters programs are delivered in English and our degrees are awarded by Liverpool John Moores University, in the UK.
It has an incredible international cohort at the student and faculty levels. It opens the students up to this multicultural setting to prepare the students for an international career.
OUR Performing Arts Degrees
All IAB courses share the same priority — giving you the teaching, support and facilities you need to achieve excellence in your field. Students experience a high teacher-to-student ratio, and the family-like atmosphere of an interdisciplinary performing arts school, which is important when you’re away from home.
Our teaching philosophy has earned the IAB international recognition as a high quality center for studying the performing arts to professional levels. And when you’re part of a cultural melting pot, your horizons widen and your network deepens.
All IAB courses have their quality and standards validated and approved by the UK’s university system. It means that our degrees are recognized and accepted throughout the world as the equivalent of a degree from a British university. Our BA (Hons) programs last 3 years, and have a larger, higher volume of study than BFA in the States, with an annual tuition competitive to U.S. colleges at only 17,000 USD per year. Our IAB degrees are entirely focused to provide a speciality training in the discipline of the programme and, unlike a US BA or BFA degree, they do not include any study of the Liberal Arts.
